The QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2026 were released, placing 103 Indian universities in the global list—India’s highest presence so far and the fourth largest worldwide. - Knowledge Exchange Strength: University of Delhi entered the top 100 globally for Knowledge Exchange, ranking 94th.
- Employability Indicators: Along with IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur secured 96th place globally for Employability & Outcomes, showcasing strong job-market relevance.
- Environmental Sustainability: QS CEO Jessica Turner highlighted that Indian institutions excel in environmental sustainability, reflecting better performance in green initiatives and environmental research.
- Growing Global Participation: This year’s ranking covered 2000 institutions across 100+ locations, showing expanding global competition.
- Relative Ranking Shift: Although IIT Delhi achieved its best score since 2023, its global rank dropped due to the larger number of institutions added this year.
