About Ladli Behna Yojana:
● The Ladli Behna Yojana was launched in March 2023 by then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
● Initially, women received ₹1,000 per month, which was later raised to ₹1,250 in October 2023 ahead of the State Assembly elections.
● The scheme draws inspiration from Ladli Laxmi Yojana, focusing on women’s socio-economic empowerment and their role in sustainable development, including potential participation in emission trading initiatives.
