About The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO)

●   Intergovernmental military alliance formed in 2002.

●   Originated from the Collective Security Treaty signed on May 15, 1992.

●   Initially six comprised countries post-Soviet states: Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

●   Became known as the CSTO in 2002, functioning as a military alliance.
