1. Bharat Taxi Launched in Gujarat

Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched Bharat Taxi in Gujarat. It is India’s first cooperative-based taxi service, designed as a zero-commission ride-hailing platform.

Unlike conventional app-based aggregators, Bharat Taxi follows a driver-led ownership model under cooperative governance. This initiative is expected to empower drivers, reduce platform dependency, and introduce a more inclusive model in India’s gig economy.

2. India Commissions World’s First Nuclear Heat-Based Hydrogen Facility

India achieved a major clean energy milestone with the commissioning of the world’s first nuclear process heat-based hydrogen production facility at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam.

The facility uses the Copper-Chlorine thermochemical cycle and heat from the Fast Breeder Test Reactor. This is a significant step towards clean hydrogen production and strengthens India’s position in advanced nuclear and green energy research.

3. Operation Amistad: India Sends Relief to Venezuela

India launched Operation Amistad to support earthquake-hit Venezuela. A C-17 aircraft carried 30 tonnes of relief material, medicines, and BHISHM cubes.

The term “Amistad” means friendship in Spanish. The operation reflects India’s humanitarian diplomacy and its commitment to supporting countries affected by natural disasters.

4. US Announces Israel-Lebanon Peace Framework
