1. QpiAI Inaugurates Quantum Processor Manufacturing Facility in Bengaluru
QpiAI has inaugurated an 8-inch Quantum Processing Unit manufacturing facility at Jakkur, Bengaluru. The facility is capable of fabricating superconducting quantum processors with up to 128 qubits.

2. India Hosts 7th BRICS Working Group on ICT Cooperation
India is hosting the Seventh BRICS Working Group for Cooperation in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in Pune under its 2026 BRICS Chairship.

3. Government Approves Incentive for New Piped Natural Gas Connections
The Government has approved an incentive mechanism aimed at expanding domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections.

4. Sixth Positive Indigenisation List Notified
The Ministry of Defence has notified the Sixth Positive Indigenisation List, covering 405 strategically important items.
The list includes 389 items for Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs) and 16 items for the Indian Coast Guard. These items offer an estimated ₹3,070 crore domestic business opportunity, strengthening the Government’s push towards Atmanirbhar Bharat in defence manufacturing.
5. SEMICON India 2026 to Be Held in New Delhi
The fifth edition of SEMICON India 2026 will be organised from 17–19 September 2026 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi.
The event is expected to feature more than 500 exhibitors with participation from over 40 countries. It will showcase developments across the semiconductor value chain and highlight India’s growing ambitions as a global hub for semiconductor design and manufacturing.
6. MeitY Approves 31 Electronics Manufacturing Projects
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has approved 31 additional projects under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme.

The initiative is expected to deepen domestic electronics manufacturing capabilities and strengthen India’s position in global electronics supply chains.
7. National Sports Awards 2025 Announced
The National Sports Awards 2025 have been announced, with 17 sportspersons selected for the Arjuna Awards.

8. Indian Peacekeepers Receive UN Medals in South Sudan
A total of 210 Indian peacekeepers serving with the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) have been honoured with United Nations Medals.
