  • Border Skirmishes: The incident underscores the longstanding tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, exacerbated by disputes over territory and accusations of harbouring terrorists.
About China-Pakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC):

●   CPEC is a 3,000-km infrastructure project connecting China’s Xinjiang region to Gwadar Port in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.

●   It includes highways, railways, pipelines, and energy projects, aiming to enhance connectivity and boost Pakistan’s economy.

●   India opposes CPEC as it passes through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, challenging India’s sovereignty over the region.
