ICMR to establish evidence-based guidelines for lung cancer management in India, addressing gaps in prevention, screening, diagnosis, and treatment.
About the Gap in Guidelines:
- Currently, India lacks evidence-based guidelines for lung cancer prevention, screening, diagnosis, and management, despite its high prevalence, constituting 10% of total cancer deaths.
- The absence of such guidelines underscores the need for systematic approaches to enhance patient outcomes.
