- The Centre initiates a survey and registrations for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) beneficiaries among 75 Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups across 18 states and Union Territories.

About the Recent Developments under (PMAY-G):
- The Ministry of Rural Development has modified the Aawas+ app for online beneficiary identification under the rural housing scheme.
- Survey underway in 15 states, covering approximately 28,000 households, with the first instalment targeted for release by mid-January.
- The unit cost for PVTGs increased to Rs 2 lakh, compared to Rs 1.2 lakh in plain areas and Rs 1.3 lakh in hilly regions.
- PMAY-G beneficiaries can also avail Rs 12,500 for toilet construction and 90 days of work under NREGS, totaling benefits up to Rs 2.39 lakh.
