The European Union, in partnership with the Global Counter-Terrorism Council and India’s Ministry of External Affairs, has organized the two-day EU-India Track 1.5 Conference, focusing on combating terrorist content online. This regional conference aims to address the complex challenges posed by violent extremism in the digital realm and seeks to strengthen counter-terrorism dialogues and partnerships in the region. The event aligns with the EU’s Indo-Pacific Strategy, which advocates for deeper engagement with partners facing common challenges. The conference will explore topics such as current trends in online radicalization, particularly on smaller, decentralized platforms, bringing together experts, policymakers, academics, and law enforcement officials from South Asia and Europe to lead the fight against digital extremism.
