Union Home Minister Amit Shah flagged off advanced Dial 112 emergency response vehicles and forensic mobile vans in Chhattisgarh, expanding the emergency service to all districts with AI-enabled safety and monitoring systems.

Expansion of Dial 112 Emergency Services

  • The Chhattisgarh government has expanded the Dial 112 emergency response service from 16 districts to all 33 districts of the State.
  • Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a fleet of advanced emergency vehicles and modern forensic mobile vans in Raipur.
  • The initiative aims to strengthen public safety, emergency response, and law-and-order management across urban and rural regions.
  • A total of 400 emergency response vehicles, 33 surveillance vehicles, and 60 highway patrol vehicles were deployed.
  • The programme was launched in the presence of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and other senior state leaders.

Technological Features and Women’s Safety Measures

  • The upgraded system has been integrated with Artificial Intelligence-based location tracking technology.
  • The AI system will help authorities identify the real-time geographical location of people in distress for faster assistance.
  • Special emphasis has been placed on women’s safety through panic buttons and dedicated monitoring features.
  • Modern forensic mobile vans will assist police in scientific evidence collection and improve criminal investigations.
  • Enhanced highway patrol vehicles are expected to strengthen road safety, accident response, and crime prevention on major routes.
