CBI ARRESTS KEY ACCUSED IN NEET PAPER LEAK CASE

Why in the news?

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Aman Singh, an alleged key conspirator in the Patna National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Under Graduate) paper leak case.
Singh was apprehended from Dhanbad, Jharkhand, following a tip-off, marking a significant development in the ongoing investigation.

About National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)

Purpose: Entrance exam for undergraduate (MBBS/BDS) and postgraduate (MD/MS) medical courses in government and private colleges.
Objective: Standardizes the admission process, ensuring uniform candidate evaluation across India.
Conducted by: National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the Ministry of Education.
