In the State of Uttarakhand, a scheme called A-HELP (Accredited Agent for Health and Extension of Livestock Production) is introduced.

The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy is collaborating with the Union Ministry of Rural Development to administer the “A-HELP” training project.

The programme attempts to meet the medical requirements of the village’s livestock population.

Members of women self-help organisations registered with the State Rural Livelihood Mission who assist in various animal husbandry tasks under the name Pashu Sakhi will receive training as part of the scheme.

A-HELPs will support Rashtriya Gokul Mission’s (RGM) artificial insemination efforts as well as efforts to keep livestock healthy.
