India has become the first country globally to develop and release genome-edited rice varieties, launched by Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. These high-yield, climate-resilient varieties aim to improve nutrition, productivity, and support the vision of Viksit Bharat.

- Yields 30% more under saline conditions.
- Both varieties are suitable for states like AP, UP, Bihar, TN, WB, MP, etc.
