Test Details and Capabilities:
- On March 26, 2025, DRDO and the Indian Navy successfully conducted a flight-test of the Vertically-Launched Short-Range Surface-to-Air Missile (VLSRSAM) from the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, Odisha.
- The missile was launched from a land-based vertical launcher against a high-speed aerial target at very close range and low altitude.
- The test demonstrated the missile’s Near-Boundary-Low Altitude capability, validating its agility, reliability, and pin-point accuracy.
- The missile, equipped with an indigenous Radio Frequency seeker, Multi-Function Radar, and Weapon Control System, performed as expected, with flight data confirming successful engagement.
