  • The 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention, the largest gathering of the Indian diaspora, will be held in Bhubaneswar from January 8 to 10, 2025.
  • This year’s theme, ‘Diaspora’s Contribution to a Viksit Bharat’, highlights the role of the diaspora in India’s progress.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the convention on January 9, and Christine Carla Kangaloo, President of Trinidad & Tobago, will address the gathering virtually.
  • Over 50 countries will be represented, fostering global engagement and connections among the Indian diaspora.

    • ‘Vishwaroop Ram’: Depicting the universal legacy of the Ramayana through art.

  • The Pravasi Bharatiya Express, a dedicated tourist train, will be flagged off by PM Modi, covering key destinations under the Pravasi Teertha Darshan Yojana.

  • Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, on January 8, will feature Dev Pragad, CEO of Newsweek, as Guest of Honour.
