- World Food India 2024 kicks off today at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
- The event lasts four days and involves 90 countries, 26 Indian states/UTs, and 18 Central Ministries.
- Ministers Prahlad Joshi, Chirag Paswan, and Ravneet Singh Bittu will inaugurate the event.
- Focuses on innovation, technology, and sustainability in the food processing sector.
Key Highlights and Sessions:
- Japan is the partner country; Vietnam and Iran are the focus countries.
- Day one features a high-level CEO roundtable co-chaired by Piyush Goyal and Chirag Paswan.
- Over 40 knowledge sessions, thematic discussions, and industry-led panels with 100 CXOs of global agri-food companies are scheduled.
- A Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet by APEDA and MPEDA will host over 1,000 buyers.

- The 2nd edition of the Global Food Regulators Summit by FSSAI is part of the event.
