  • Most areas in the Northeast, excluding parts of Assam and Tripura, have been exempted from CAA provisions.
  • The Act exempts tribal areas of Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Tripura under the Sixth Schedule, along with regions covered by the Inner Line Permit system.
