About White Stork
- The white stork (Ciconia ciconia) belongs to the stork family, Ciconiidae, characterized by its large size and predominantly white plumage.
- IUCN Status : Least Concern
- Adults feature long red legs, pointed red beaks, and black markings on their wings.
- White storks breed in Europe, northwestern Africa, southwestern Asia, and southern Africa.
- They exist as two subspecies, varying slightly in size, and undertake long-distance migrations, wintering in tropical Sub-Saharan Africa or as far south as South Africa, and sometimes on the Indian subcontinent.
