Spywares are set of softwares that are intended to steal the information related to a person or an organisation. Presence of these will result in the compromising of the security of the systems. Some spywares are categorised as malicious and are illegal.

• Personal user informations will be handled in unacceptable ways
• Leads to frauds such as ransom, credit card misuse etc
• Changes the preferences of users without their notice

To be secure against these threats people should avoid freewares and other unknown websites as it is the gateway through which the spywares are sent. Anti-spywares, anti-virus softwares should be regularly used and updated. Checking the options while installation of programs is also necessary to avoid the damages in future.
