Industry 4.0

●   From the mid-1900s, there has been a digital revolution, which is the basis of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It is distinguished by a merging of technologies, making it more difficult to distinguish between the digital, biological, and physical domains.

●   The founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab, came up with this phrase.

●   A combination of technologies including robotics, genetic engineering, 3D printing, Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and quantum computing have led to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

●   It is the driving force behind a plethora of goods and services that are quickly becoming necessities in today’s world. These are drastically altering how people produce, trade, and allocate value.

Fintech:

●   Fintech, short for financial technology, is the term used to characterize new technology aimed at streamlining and automating the provision and consumption of financial services.

●   It encompasses any technological advancement in the financial industry aimed at improving financial education and literacy, such as retail banking, investing, and even cryptocurrency (Decentralised Finance, or DeFi).

About Timor-Leste

●   Encircled by coral reefs brimming with marine life, Timor-Leste is a nation located in Southeast Asia that occupies half of the island of Timor. It consists of the minor islands of Atauro and Jaco, the exclave of Oecusse on the northwest side of the island, and the eastern half of the island of Timor, of which Indonesia administers the western half. The Timor Sea divides the nation from its southern neighbor, Australia.

●   Timor-Leste was ruled by Portugal until 1975, when it was overthrown by Indonesia. Through a UN-sponsored act, it became independent in 1999 and the first sovereign state of the twenty-first century (in 2002).
