- This initiative includes age relaxation and exemption from the Physical Efficiency Test, aiming to facilitate the transition of former Agniveers into civilian roles within the forces.

Reservation Details:
- All central forces, including BSF, CRPF, CISF, and SSB, will reserve 10% of constable vacancies specifically for ex-Agniveers.
- Age relaxation of five years will apply to the first batch of ex-Agniveers.
- CISF and other central forces have already made arrangements to implement this recruitment strategy effectively.
About Agnipath Scheme:
Overview:
- The Agnipath Scheme enables motivated youth to serve in the Armed Forces for four years.
- Participants will be known as Agniveers and can join the army for a short duration.
- Annually, around 45,000 to 50,000 soldiers will be recruited, with most serving only four years.
- After four years, 25% of the cohort may be retained for an additional 15 years.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicable only to personnel below officer ranks (not commissioned officers).
- Commissioned officers are the highest-ranking members of the armed forces, commissioned under the President’s authority.
- Eligible age range: 5 to 23 years.
