UPSC Preliminary exam 2020 will be rescheduled due to Corona Virus outbreak – Union Minister Jitendra Singh
UPSC aspirants were anxious about the official announcement regarding postponing the preliminary exam which is scheduled to be held on 31st May 2020. The Union Minister Jitendra Singh now indicated postpone of the Prelims exam date.
Addressing the UPSC prelims exam date confusions, Union Minister states in his television interview, that the situation will be reviewed after the lockdown. And the commission will reschedule the exam date of UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and SSC (Staff Selection Commission) examinations that were put on hold due to lockdown. By considering the situation & the convenience of the aspirants the commission will take a call post-May 3, 2020.
The Union Minister also made it clear that the exam will not be canceled and a new date will be issued once the lockdown ends, hence aspirants should not believe in fake news and rumors which are being circulated on social media regarding the cancellation of exams. Personality tests for UPSC have also delayed keeping the safety of the candidates in mind.
