“Universal School of Administration’s Founders Day Extravaganza: A Symphony of Service, Excellence, and Celebration”

The Universal School of Administration orchestrated a grand celebration on January 16, 2024, marking its “Founders Day“.

The event unfolded as a special tribute, primarily organized to commemorate the “Birthday of the revered mother of Mr. Upendra Shetty, the founder of the Universal Group of Institutions”. In a heartwarming gesture, the occasion was not only marked by celebratory fervor but also by a profound commitment to community welfare. The inclusion of a blood donation drive and a complimentary health check-up camp infused the event with a vibrant spirit of altruism and well-being. This thoughtful initiative underscored the institution’s dedication to societal care and mirrored the values instilled by Mr. Upendra Shetty’s visionary leadership. The convergence of celebratory joy and a noble cause created a unique atmosphere, symbolizing the ethos of compassion and service that defines the Universal Group of Institutions.

The NSS Unit of the Universal School of Administration took center stage by organizing a voluntary Blood Donation Camp, a noble initiative conducted in association with Narayana Hrudayalaya, Sparsh Hospital, and the Indian Youth Redcross Wing. Under the watchful eye of the Honourable Chairman, Shri R Upendra Shetty, and with the distinguished presence of Chief Guest Mr. Nethrapal IRS (Addi. Commissioner Income Tax), the NSS Volunteers enthusiastically participated, with over 400 individuals contributing to the success of the camp. This event not only adhered to the principles of NSS but also reflected a positive, service-oriented approach towards society.

The formal ceremony that unfolded showcased enlightening speeches by Mr. Nethrapal IRS and Shri R Upendra Shetty. Their words resonated with the gathered volunteers, offering valuable insights and sharing rich life experiences. The event truly became a platform for intellectual exchange and motivation, fostering a sense of responsibility and community engagement among the participants. Amidst the felicitation, Santosh Shetty, the esteemed Administrator, took the stage to share insights about the organization’s journey and its unwavering commitment to excellence. Further amplifying its commitment to community welfare, the Universal School of Administration organized a Free Medical Camp as part of the Founders Day festivities. Renowned specialists in fields such as E.N.T, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Dentistry, and more provided health check-ups, extending their expertise to both the local public and the volunteers. This initiative not only addressed immediate healthcare needs but also emphasized the institution’s holistic approach to community well-being.

A pivotal aspect of the celebration was the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where the institution acknowledged and rewarded students who demonstrated exceptional achievements. The recognition spanned academic accomplishments and participation in extracurricular activities, including sports, debates, and essay writing. This multifaceted acknowledgment underscored the institution’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals.

In a distinguished ceremony, the Universe Institute celebrated the outstanding achievements of its talented students in sports, where Fazal Nadaf, a second-year B.Com student, earned the prestigious opportunity to represent the nation at the national level in athletics. Joining the ranks of excellence were Candana, a second-year BA student, and Sakshi Patil, a first-year BA student, both securing their spots in the national handball team. The event witnessed the gracious presence of Lt. Omkar, the esteemed Head of Physical Education at the Institute, underscoring the institution’s commitment to nurturing athletic prowess.

Further amplifying the accolades, Sujal Sankala showcased his marksmanship at the national shooting competition, securing the 36th position and earning a spot on the Indian trails team. Sagar, a third-year BA student, made waves by participating in a youth exchange program in London, a testament to the Institute’s global outreach. Additionally, Fazal Nadaf’s multifaceted achievements extended to the NCC, where he participated in the Thal Sainik Camp, highlighting his dedication to both academics and disciplined military training. The ceremony resonated with pride, emphasizing the Institute’s holistic approach to education and the remarkable accomplishments of its versatile and accomplished student body.

A distinguished ceremony unfolded to honor the stalwart contributors to the organization, where luminaries such as Santhosh Shetty, serving as the Administrator, and Suchita Shetty from the HR department, stood in the spotlight. A cadre of dedicated lecturers, including Mohan Krishna, Dr. Ramakrishna, Fr. Ramesh Naveen Prasad, Vishwas Puttataswamy, and UCC’s Hamsa, were recognized for their dedication and invaluable service to the organization over the years.

Environmental consciousness took center stage with the ceremonial plantation of medicinal herbs by the NSS Unit. Inaugurated by Shri R Upendra Shetty, the event drew the participation of various dignitaries, including administrators, faculty members, and the NSS Coordinator Dr. Ramakrishna. This symbolic gesture not only contributed to environmental sustainability but also reflected the institution’s emphasis on holistic living.

The Founders Day Program continued to unfold with speeches from Sri. R Upendra Shetty, the founder chairman, and Chief Guest Sri Netrapal IRS. Health check-ups were also facilitated by medical professionals from esteemed hospitals, further contributing to the well-being of the participants.

As part of UPSC preparation, the institution conducted regular tests, recognizing outstanding achievements and conferring Academic Excellence Awards to deserving students across various departments. The ceremony concluded by acknowledging exceptional performances in mental ability, science and technology, art and culture, and environmental awareness.
