“Unity in Diversity: 75th Republic Day Celebrations and Grameena Kreedakoota at Universal School of Administration”

On the auspicious occasion of the 75th Republic Day, Universal School of Administration celebrated the spirit of unity, patriotism, and community development with great fervour. The event, graced by Former Minister and MLA of Yeshwanthpura Constituency, Shri S.T. Somashekhar, was presided over by the honourable Chairman of Universal Group of Institutions, Shri R. Upendra Shetty.

The event commenced with a heartfelt welcome address by Hemalatha, a teacher at Universal Green School, setting the stage for an eventful day. Assistant Professor Deepika followed with a warm welcome speech, acknowledging the significance of the day.

The highlight of the morning was the flag-hosting ceremony by the Chairman, accompanied by Administrator and Lt. Omkarappa. The NCC Troop, led by enthusiastic cadets, displayed precision in a remarkable march past.

NCC Cadets were recognized for their outstanding service, with Mahendra K earning the prestigious title of Company Sergeant Major. Other notable ranks included Sampritha Mahadik as Company Quarter Master Sergeant, Hima M.S. Nanda, Likhita Ravi Kalashetti, and K. Anusha as Lance Corporals, and Rakshit Desai, Amith Gowda as Corporals. Fazal S Nadaf was honored as Junior Under Officer.

Sagar Kamlay, a 3rd-year BA student, and Nisarga, a 1st-year BA student, delivered inspirational speeches, reflecting the spirit of Republic Day. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of this historic day.

Chairman Shri R. Upendra Shetty shared his experiences as an NCC cadet, motivating and inspiring students. The Guinness World Record holder, Poornachnadrika, mesmerized the audience with a stunning Kuchupidi Dance performance.

The day concluded with a vote of thanks by Prajna, a teacher at Universal Green School, expressing gratitude to all participants, organizers, and guests.

Former Minister and MLA Shri S.T. Somashekhar inaugurates the annual Grameena Kreedakoota.

In continuation of the Republic Day festivities, the Universal School of Administration organized the annual Grameena Kreedakoota, a community event aimed at fostering community development through sports and related activities. The event gained momentum from its inception the previous year and continued its success in 2024.

The chief guest for the event, Former Minister and MLA of Yeshwanthpura Constituency, Shri S.T. Somashekhar, inaugurated the Grameena Kreedakoota. The honourable Chairman of Universal Group of Institutions, Shri R. Upendra Shetty, and Dr. Ramesha H.C, Principal, Naveen Prasad principal and Dr Ramkrishna  assistant Professor Universal School of Administration, graced the occasion.

Participation poured in from 15 villages around the campus, including Ganapathi Halli, Bylalu Village, Bidadi, Lakshmi Pura, Dodda Alada Mara, Moodanapalya, Gulaganjanahalli, Udadndahalli, and Koluru.

A variety of events unfolded throughout the day, including group song and dance, musical chairs for those above 50 years, 3-leg race, balloon bursting competition, lemon and spoon race, sack race, rangoli competition, tug of war, and needle and thread.

The villages that displayed exceptional sportsmanship and teamwork were rewarded, with Ganapathi Halli, Bidadi, and Udandahalli securing the overall championship trophies.

The Grameena Kreedakoota not only showcased the athletic prowess of the participants but also highlighted the spirit of unity, cooperation, and community building. As we reflect on the 75th Republic Day, these celebrations at Universal School of Administration stand as a testament to the strength of our nation and the collective spirit of its people.
