  • The UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) passed a resolution urging nations to halt arms sales or shipments to Israel.
  • The measure, adopted with a vote of 28-6 and 13 abstentions, targets actions by Israel, including restricting access to water and humanitarian aid in Palestinian territories.
  • It also calls for independent investigators to monitor shipments of weapons and dual-use items that could be used against Palestinians.
