Train Control And Supervision System : Delhi Metro

News: The first Train Control and Supervision System ever created in-house was recently introduced by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

 

India’s first internally created Train Control and Supervision System is called i-ATS.

The management of train operations, including fundamental operations like running and stopping, is done through a computer-based system.

The DMRC and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) jointly developed the i-ATS as part of the government of India’s “Make in India” and “AatmaNirbhar Bharat” initiatives for Metro Rail Transit Systems.

It will decrease the reliance of the metro on foreign suppliers for metro operations.

The i-ATS technology was created to be adaptable enough to function with various signalling providers’ systems with the necessary modifications.
