About the Directive to Transplant Hospitals:

  • State Health Secretaries instructed to ensure all licensed transplant hospitals link with NOTTO web portal for data submission.
  • Transplanting hospitals are required to register patients needing transplants and regularly update their status on NOTTO portal.
  • Monthly offline reports on deceased and living donors to be compiled and submitted to NOTTO for maintaining an updated national registry.
About National Organ Transplantation Guidelines(NOTTO):

●   New National Organ Transplantation Guidelines remove age limit for recipients, enhancing access to transplants.

●   Domicile requirement waived, enabling patients to register for transplants nationwide.

●   Registration fees abolished, reducing financial barriers for organ recipients
