- The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) re-appointed PK Mishra as Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister and Ajit Doval as National Security Advisor (NSA) effective from June 10.

About PMO (Prime Minister’s Office):
- Formed in 1947.
- PMO is politically headed by the PM and administratively by the Principal Secretary.
- Originally called the Prime Minister’s Secretariat; renamed PMO in 1977 during Morarji Desai’s ministry.
