  • Singapore secures the top spot with an overall YDI score of 0.868, followed by South Korea, Brunei, and Malaysia.

About the Youth Development Index (YDI) Index:

  • The Global Youth Development Index (YDI) measures progress in 181 countries.
  • Published by Commonwealth Secretariat and Institute for Economics and Peacelaunch 2023 report.
  • Includes 49 Commonwealth countries.
  • Focuses on youth aged 15-29.
  • Five main domains:education, health, employment, civic, and political participation.
  • YDI score ranges from 0 to 1.
