Report On India’s Arms Imports : SIPRI

News: In a recent research, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) identified China, India, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Australia as the top five countries in the world for arms imports between 2018 and 22.

In the previous five years, the US exported 40% of all military goods worldwide, followed by Russia (16%), France (11%), China (5.2%), and Germany (4.2%).

From 2013–17 and 2018–22, the United States’ share of global armament exports rose from 33 to 40 percent, while Russia’s part decreased from 22 to 16 percent.

France’s exports of weapons increased by 44% between 2013 and 2018 and received 30% of its exports during the previous five years from India.
