Prime Minister Of India Gift To Japanese Prime Minister:

News: During the Japanese Prime Minister’s two-day official visit to India, the Indian Prime Minister gave him a sandalwood Buddha statue.

 

Sandalwood Pure sandalwood Buddha statue with hand carvings, traditional patterns, and landscape landscapes.

Buddha is seated in this position beneath the Bodhi tree, using the “dhyana mudra.”

The “dhyana mudra” is the hand position used during meditation in order to achieve spiritual purity.

This mudra is said to be derived from the posture taken by the Buddha during his meditation under the Bodhi tree prior to attaining insight.

The Bodhi tree is intricately carved on the image’s reverse.

In Indian tradition, the Kadamwood Jali Box in which the statue was housed is also regarded as lucky.
