Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2023 : Nomination

News: The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar nominations have been opened by the Ministry of Women and Child Development.

Every year, the government holds the famous Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar to honour young people who have excelled in a variety of sectors, including bravery, sports, social service, science and technology, the environment, and others.

Age restrictions range from 5 to 18 years old.

It falls into two categories:

Bal Shakti Puranik to honour young people who exhibit great talent and distinction in the areas of creativity, academic performance, athletic prowess, arts and culture, volunteerism, and bravery.

Bal Kalyan Puraskar: To those who have distinguished themselves in the fields of child development, child welfare, and child protection

To organisations that have excelled in any area of child welfare for the benefit of children.

Selection: The names of the award recipients will be decided by a national selection committee led by a minister or minister of state from the ministry of women’s and children’s development.

Each year in January, the President presents these Awards during a special event.

One lakh rupees in cash, a medal, and a diploma are included with the prizes.
