PM LAUNCHES PORTAL FOR MARGINALISED SECTIONS

Why in the news?

PM Modi launches PM-SURAJ portal for credit support to marginalised entrepreneurs, ensuring dignity and justice for the underprivileged.

About the Launch Event:

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the Pradhan Mantri Samajik Utthan evam Rozgar Adharit Jan Kalyan (PM-SURAJ) portal in New Delhi.
  • The portal aims to provide credit support to entrepreneurs from disadvantaged sections of society.
  • PM Modi emphasised the government’s commitment to ensuring dignity and justice for the underprivileged.
About  the Pradhan Mantri Samajik Utthan evam Rozgar Adharit Jan Kalyan (PM-SURAJ) portal:

●   PM-SURAJ national portal, providing credit support to 1 lakh entrepreneurs from disadvantaged sections.

●   Aims to uplift marginalised segments.

●   Credit assistance facilitated through banks, NBFC-MFIs, and other organisations.
