Project Veer Gatha 4.0 engages 1.76 crore students nationwide, promoting patriotism and honouring Armed Forces heroes through creative activities like essays, poems, and paintings.
Project Veer Gatha 4.0: Nationwide Participation and Activities
- Participation Overview: Over 1.76 crore school students from all 36 States and UTs have actively engaged in Project Veer Gatha 4.0, submitting poems, paintings, essays, and videos honouring the bravery of Armed Forces personnel.
- Project Background: Launched in 2021, Project Veer Gatha aims to instil patriotism and honour the gallantry awardees’ acts of valour and sacrifice. The initiative encourages students to create projects celebrating the heroic deeds of these bravehearts, contributing to the awareness and appreciation of their sacrifices.
- Activities and Achievements:
- School-Level Activities: Schools across India conducted projects/activities from 16 September to 31 October 2024. Each school uploaded 4 best entries to the MyGov portal.
- Virtual and Face-to-Face Sessions: To deepen students’ understanding, the Ministry of Defence organised awareness programs with the Army, Navy, and Air Force for schools nationwide.
- Previous Participation: Past editions saw growing student involvement, with 8 lakh students in 2021, 19.5 lakh in 2022, and 1.36 crore in 2023.
Awards and Recognition:
- Selection of Winners:
- 100 national-level winners will be selected in Project Veer Gatha 4.0, who will receive a cash prize of 10,000 and be felicitated by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Defence in New Delhi.
- District-Level: 4 winners will be recognized at the district level.
- State/UT-Level: 8 winners from each state/UT will be honoured by the respective local authorities.
