About Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF):
- CAPF refers to seven security forces in India under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
- Assam Rifles (AR):Security force primarily deployed in the NorthEast region.
- Border Security Force (BSF):Guards India’s land borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh.
- Central Industrial Security Force (CISF):Protects vital installations like airports, nuclear power plants, and industries.
- Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF):Handles internal security, counter-insurgency, and anti-Naxal operations.
- Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP):Guards India’s borders with China in the Himalayas.
- National Security Guard (NSG):Special forces for counter-terrorism and VIP security.
