NIA CHARGES TWO IN IS TERROR CONSPIRACY CASE
Why in the news?
- The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet against two individuals, including a Libya-based terrorist, in connection with an IS terror conspiracy in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad).
- The accused, Mohammed Zoheb Khan, arrested in February, and Libya-based Mohammed Shoeb Khan, are charged with promoting IS’s anti-India agenda.
- They are charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
