New Standards For Food Serving Utensils : Bureau Of Indian Standards

News: For food serving utensils made of agricultural byproducts, new guidelines have been released by the Bureau of Indian guidelines (BIS).

The purpose of food serving utensils created from agricultural waste is to lessen plastic pollution and to promote sustainability.

Utilising kitchenware made of biodegradable agricultural byproducts can help protect the environment, preserve natural resources, and advance a circular economy.

These kitchenware items guarantee customer safety and are free of dangerous substances.

The standard offers farmers financial benefits as well.

It encourages environmentally friendly agriculture methods, promoting rural development.

The production of biodegradable cutlery is being actively supported by many large-scale and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises level producers in India; they will greatly benefit from this Standard.
