Why in the news?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the U.S. Congress, urging for a global alliance against Iran, which he labelled the “axis of terror” responsible for most sectarian killings in West Asia.
His speech criticized Gaza ceasefire demonstrators and accused Iran of funding U.S.-based anti-Israel protests, calling for a united front between the U.S. and Israel against Tehran.
