National Conclave on Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan – Key Points
Event: The National Conclave on Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan is being held in New Delhi under the aegis of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
President Droupadi Murmu is attending as the chief guest.
Vision: The conclave aligns with the “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision articulated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is organized in conjunction with PM-JANMAN (Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Mahabhiyan) and the Dharti Aba Abhiyan, both flagship initiatives to empower tribal communities.
Participants: Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Jual Oram, Ministers of State, senior bureaucrats (Union and State Secretaries, District Magistrates), Master Trainers, and Adi Sahyogi representatives from across India are participating.
Core Theme: “Tribal Village Vision 2030 – From Ideas to Implementation.”
The conclave seeks to transform nearly 50,000 Village Action Plans prepared through nationwide community consultations into actionable projects.
Objectives:
- To finalize policy inputs and implementation frameworks for tribal development.
- To design project execution strategies integrating education, health, livelihood, and governance.
- To identify replicable models of sustainable tribal development.
Five Thematic Groups will deliberate on priority sectors:
- Education and Skill Development
- Health and Nutrition
- Livelihood and Entrepreneurship
- Infrastructure and Governance
- Institutional Strengthening
Significance:
The conclave is a step toward inclusive governance, ensuring that the aspirations of tribal communities are integrated into India’s growth story. By linking grass-roots Village Action Plans with national development frameworks, it aims to make tribal India an essential pillar of Viksit Bharat 2047.
