NASA Webb Telescope bags Prestigious Space Foundation
News: An infrared space telescope called the James Webb Telescope orbits the sun. NASA, the Canadian Space Agency, and the European Space Agency collaborated to develop the telescope. It is the Hubble telescope’s replacement. Since its inception, the James Webb Telescope has made numerous novel discoveries and exceptional adventures. The James Webb Telescope recently received the Space Foundation Award.
- It is a distinguished award that honours people and organisations for their achievements in the realm of space exploration.

- The James Webb telescope’s first photo was of the SMACS 0723 galaxy cluster.
- It then recorded a dying star’s performances. The galaxy of Stephan’s Quintet contained the star. No telescope has seen a picture of the galaxy as of yet.
- The “Great Red Spot” of Jupiter was captured. The location is on Jupiter, and here exceptionally powerful storms develop. Additionally, images of Jupiter and its moons were taken by the telescope. The prograde moons of Jupiter are never easy to photograph or study.
- They are obscured by the planet’s light dispersion since they are so close to it. However, the IR sensors of the James Webb Telescope were able to take clear images of prograde moons.
