  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasised that India’s4 billion citizens can transform the country into a developed nation by 2047 through collective effort and determination.
  • Modi linked the struggle for independence by 400 million people to the current goal, asserting that if they could overcome colonial rule, the nation today can achieve “Viksit Bharat” with a unified vision.
  • He reaffirmed his commitment to work at three times the speed to achieve these goals, emphasising the need for all citizens to dedicate themselves to the nation’s progress.

Initiatives for Progress and Reform:

  • Modi urged states and local self-governments to initiate at least two reforms annually to drive progress, stressing the importance of continuous improvement at all levels of governance.
  • He highlighted major upcoming initiatives, including the addition of 75,000 new medical seats over the next five years to bolster healthcare infrastructure.
  • The Prime Minister also focused on enhancing India’s global manufacturing presence through the ‘Make in India’ initiative and emphasised the need to nurture a vibrant space sector by investing ₹1 lakh crore in research and innovation.
