Mahananda River. The Mahananda River, originating from the Darjeeling Hills in West Bengal, flows through West Bengal, Bihar and Bangladesh, and covers approximately 360 km. It supports agriculture, particularly paddy, wheat, and jute cultivation.
About Mahananda River
The Mahananda River joins the Ganges River in Bangladesh, with the confluence occurring near the town of Godagari Ghat in Rajshahi district of Bangladesh. Major tributaries of Mahananda will be the Balason, Mechi, and the Kankai Rivers.
