What is UCC?

●      Article 44 of the Indian Constitution introduces the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) as a directive principle.

●      UCC aims for uniformity in personal laws across India but is not legally enforceable.

●     Goa and Uttarakhand are  the two states with a UCC, while the rest follow diverse personal laws based on religious affiliations.
