LAUNCH OF SIMPLIFIED NEW PENSION APPLICATION FORM 6-A LINKED WITH BHAVISHYA

Why in the news?

  • The New Single Simplified Pension Application Form 6-A will be launched on 30th August’ 2024 by Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh.
  • The form available in Bhavishya’s  and e-HRMS will be compulsorily filled up by the Central Government employees retiring from the said date i.e. December, 2024 onwards.

Form Integration with Bhavishya/e-HRMS:

  • The new form is linked to Bhavishya/e- HRMS eliminating the many steps involved in pensioning.
  • Higher officials who are retiring and who are using e-HRMS shall enter Form 6-A electronically while other officials shall use Bhavishya.
  • Nine prior forms/formats are rolled into one, which helps cut down on paperwork and offer the user a practical form.

Government Initiative for Ease of Living:

  • This is one of DoPPW initiatives in the 100 day’s Action Plan under the policy “Maximum Governance – Minimum Government”.
  • To reflect these changes, Corrections have been made to the CCS Pension Rules,
  • It will seek to provide computerised solutions for pension processing where the right form the pensioner’s application to payment is done effectively through banking without the involvement of papers.

  • Launch and Purpose: e-HRMS, which is expanded in 2017 starting from 25 applications in five; modules; policy and employment, staff, payroll, analytics and learning uses AI in policy formulation and staff administration.
  • Employee Benefits: It informs government employees about service-related information and introduces digitalization in the Human Resources field, thus increasing the work’s productivity.
