Kerala Police Operation AAG

News: Under OPERATION AAG, the Kerala Police recently detained 2,507 gang members. It was started across the state. The goal of the operation was to apprehend those wanted for violating the Kerala anti-Social Activities Prevention Act (KAAPA). The people on the list who returned to the state after being deported were the main targets.

 

  • On February 4, 2023, at 11 p.m., the operation began. Over 3,501 locations were searched by the police, who also reported 1,673 cases. Over 50% of the fugitives on the police’s list were apprehended, according to the police.

The majority of these foreigners enter the country illegally, primarily in quest of employment to support their families back home.
