Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill
Why in News?
Recently, the Union Minister of Commerce and Industry introduced the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2022 in the Lok Sabha.
The Bill promotes ease of doing business by decriminalising minor offences in 42 Acts administered by 19 ministries.
What’s in Jan Vishwas Bill 2022?
Aim:
It suggests replacing numerous minor offences with monetary fines in order to decriminalise them.
One special aspect of the proposal is that, when the measure is passed and becomes law, the minimum fee and penalty assessed will grow by 10% every three years.

How will the Bill help in ease of doing business?
