The Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) has launched the J. C. Bose Grant (JBG) to support senior Indian scientists with ₹25 lakh annual funding for five years, replacing the J. C. Bose Fellowship under the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB).

- The Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) has introduced the C. Bose Grant (JBG), replacing the previous J. C. Bose Fellowship under the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB).
- This grant aims to recognize and support senior Indian scientists and engineers with exceptional contributions to their fields.
- It encourages high-impact research in various domains, including agriculture, medicine, humanities, and social sciences, particularly at science-technology intersections.
Eligibility & Financial Support
- Open to senior scientists holding at least a Professor-level position in an Indian university or research institution.
- Offers ₹25 lakh per year for five years, plus an additional ₹1 lakh annually for host institution overhead costs.
- Researchers can continue receiving the grant post-superannuation until the age of 68, provided the host institution agrees.
