- Israel reacted by recalling ambassadors from these countries amid ongoing conflicts and international legal actions against its leaders.

- Principal Component of the UN: Main governing and most representative body.
- Membership: 193 members (all UN member countries).
- Meetings:Annual meetings in September at the UN headquarters in New York City.
- Leadership: Headed by a President elected for a one-year term.
- No veto power, unlike the Security Council.
- In 1953, Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit became the eighth President of the UNGA, the only Indian to hold this position to date.
