- A Lokniti-CSDS study, in collaboration with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, surveyed 5,248 respondents across 50 cities in 10 States and 3 Union Territories (Aug 29–Sep 26, 2024).

- 42% of respondents believe funds for international events like G20 should be redirected to poverty relief, while 29% support investing in India’s global image.
- Lower-income groups (36%) advocate spending on domestic needs, whereas 39% of upper-class respondents support global positioning.
