About Defense Acquisition Council (DAC):

  • Purpose: Highest decision-making body in the Defence Ministry for new policies and capital acquisitions.
  • Scope: Covers the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Indian Coast Guard.
  • Chairman: Minister of Defence.
